"Upstate Venture Ecosystem Award nominations represent the entrepreneurial leaders throughout Upstate New York who are transforming our region’s venture community," said UVC Founder & Venture Catalyst Martin Babinec.

For over a decade Robert Manasier and the In Focus Brands’ team have launched and helped accelerate over 140 companies all over the world, including organizations like HullSpeed®, Autonomy Distributors and IFP Films. In the last three years, In Focus Brands have brought 3 firms from launch to successful exit. Robert is currently Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Innovate 518, the UAlbany Innovation Center, Sage Colleges and IgniteU NY. According to Startup Grind Albany’s Patrice Perkins, “His pitch prep work wins every year and his support contributed to over $2M in winnings and 10 company startups.”

Robert has been nominated for his collaboration across communities and his volume of successful results. Jill Daye of In Focus Brands adds: “The fact that Bob’s (Robert Manasier) body of work and continuously successful results are being recognized demonstrates the pace and focus that have made him and our firm the foremost acceleration team. His immersive leadership, continuous value-add to any situation and people, operations and time management excellence have been known in-house and by our client partners for decades, we are happy others are recognizing it now. Bob should be out in front more but that is not his style.”

Robert will also be part of the panel discussion that is new this year at Upstate Unleashed. The panel will include: Nasir Ali (CNY, moderator), Elisa Miller-Out (Southern Tier), Richard Glaser (Finger Lakes) and Dan Miner (Western NY). The panel will discuss the entrepreneurial growth happening across Upstate NY and no one has a better handle on the doers, achievers and programs making strides in the Capital Region than Robert Manasier.

Brent Martin of In Focus Brands, "Bob's dedication and drive to provide client and community success is represented with these nominations. From building economic development ecosystems to guiding businesses through expansive growth, Bob consistently generates unrivaled results."

Winners will be announced during the 2018 Upstate Unleashed Conference held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at The Oncenter in Syracuse, NY featuring NetFlix Co-Founder Marc Randolph. You can visit 2018Unleashed.eventbrite.com for more details.
